Hope With T’s is partnering with the family of Marine Sgt. Joshua Ashley & his beloved war dog, Sirius. Proceeds will go towards Mission K9 Rescue, a non-profit who provides assistance and support for retiring & retired Military Working Dogs. They have graciously helped pay for all of Sirius’ medical bills, so in honor of him and Marine Sgt. Joshua Ashley, $8 of every item purchased will be donated to this cause to return- in a small way- what they have done for Sirius.

Sgt. Joshua Ryan Ashley United Stated Marine Corps, He was born May 27, 1989 In Upland California  and gave his life and  Killed in Action in Afghanistan on July 19, 2012. He served as a Military Police Officer- Military Working Dog Handler. He was assigned to Military Working Dog Sirius N189 where they trained together for almost a year then they deployed to Josh’s first deployment and Sirius’s second deployment.


Sgt. Ashley Enlisted in the Marine Corps July 8, 2008 and completed boot camp On October 3, 2008 he then trained to be a Military Police Officer and then was was stationed in Okinawa Japan… that is where he began working with Military Working Dogs. In 2011 was sent to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina where he became an Official K9 handler. He was assigned a 4 year old German Shepherd  -Military working Dog Sirius. After months of training the team arrived to Afghanistan. Sgt. Ashley was assigned to Special Forces MARSOC. He and Sirius led a patrol on and Explosive battle ground. Sgt. Ashley triggered a pressure plate (IED) When his life was taken. Sirius survived the IED blast.


Josh graduated from Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga. Josh played many sports thru out his short life.  He played and loved hockey and loved the LA Kings.  


Josh loved his family, his friends, his country and the Marine Corps and his K9 partner Sirius.  Military Working Dog Sirius now lives in his retirement with Josh’s family, he was adopted February 2016 by his Mom, Tammie Ashley.
